Weddings are a specialty of Music of the Night and we know that making the right choice of entertainment for your wedding is a major decision. We understand that you want this day to be a most romantic and special day for yourselves, your families and your very special friends - a day to be remembered for the rest of your lives. When you realize that the D.J. can make or break your reception, the cost is more than reasonable.

Your guests may not remember the flowers, but they will remember if they danced the whole nightlong and heard their favourite tunes.
Modern Bride Magazine stated that while the DJ usually accounts for approximately 5% of your wedding budget, they account for approximately 40% of the wedding memories.

To us, dinner music is more than playing a Kenny G disc and walking away. We can program whatever type of dinner music you like, including classical, jazz, contemporary combination of the above. Dinner music does help set the mood for the evening and adds just that extra touch of elegance. Tired of the tinkling glasses, or "sing a song with love"? Ask us about fun and interactive ways to breathe new life into this important tradition.

Interactivity
All Music of the Night DJs are interactive. The level of interactivity, however, is based on your preferences. While props and games are certainly available, at an additional charge, during your free consultation with the DJ performing at your event, you will set the tone. It's your day and we do it your way!

Booking A Reliable Disc Jockey
Booking a reliable disc jockey is a very important proposition for the success of your function. Ask your candidates the following questions:

Will I receive written confirmation of our agreement?
Do you have back up in case you cannot attend, or your equipment malfunctions?
Can we get together and discuss music selections?
Do you use professional disc jockey equipment?
Do you know proper etiquette and procedures for my occasion?
What experience do you have?
Will you have suitable music?
What experience does the DJ performing at my event have?
Are you able to provide references?
Are you AVLA licensed?
Are you insured?
What is your arrival policy?
What are your cancellation policies?
What are your payment terms?
What will the DJ be wearing?
What is your policy concerning DJs and drinking alcohol?
Can you take requests and will you play them?
Are you able to make suggestions regarding procedures?

When To Book Your Disc Jockey
We recommend that the best time to book a DJ is immediately following the booking of your hall and caterer. Early booking usually means you will get your first choice, especially during the busiest months of June to October. If you are planning a December wedding, you are competing with the corporate events held at that time and early booking is essential. If you are able, take advantage of Friday/Sunday or off-season dates - you will find most of your suppliers offer discounts at that time.
